Hickman's Calculus BC
Description
The purpose of this course is to prepare you for the Calculus BC Advanced Placement Exam in May. While many of you will be grade conscious, your grade is not necessarily the most important aspect of the course. Our goal, as an entire class, is to help each other learn as much Calculus as possible and as fully as possible to earn a passing score or higher on the AP exam. If we do this as a class, then the grades will take care of themselves.
Expectations
This is the highest mathematics course offered here at West, and in reality, is a college level course. There is a substantial amount of material that must be covered in order for you to be prepared well for the AP exam. So, this course will be a fast paced course, and you will be expected to keep up with the homework assignments, study, and help one another as we progress through the school year. The fact that the school year was moved up a week or so is to our advantage, so let’s make good use of the extra time! My thought is that the class should be “us against the AP writers.”
A Quick Update
I've posted the "review" lessons that you can use to help review the SSS material as well as a practice test for the SSS test. Please bring to class, or see me before school, any questions you may have over this material.
