Varsity Coach Michael Skordos

Michael Skordos is the head coach of the varsity boys and freshmen girls soccer teams at Parkway West.   He holds a USSF National Coaching License and coaches his son's U9 boys' team for Panathinaikos FC and GFD (Green Football Development).  He is the tournament director of the Parkway College Showcase which is held annually in April.  Previously, he was the varsity coach at Hazelwood Central High School and Alton Marquette High School.  He is an SSD teacher in the area of social studies at Parkway West.

Varsity Assistant Coach Annie Wayland

Annie Wayland is the head coach of the varsity girls and the assistant varsity boys' coach at Parkway West. A graduate of Illinois State University, she has an extensive soccer background that includes club soccer in St. Louis (J.B. Marine), long-standing scoring/points records both at her high school and in the Missouri Valley Conference (ISU), semi-pro experience, as well as an MVC All-Centennial Team Selection. She directs and assists many youth soccer camps and holds a USSF soccer coaching license. She is currently teaching Social Studies at Parkway West.

Junior Varsity Coach Tom Herpel

Tom Herpel is the junior varsity coach of the boys' and girls' teams at Parkway West. He has played competitive soccer for the majority of his life. During his undergraduate years at Washington University in St. Louis, he coached the Webster Groves High School girls junior varsity team for two years. He is currently teaching Latin at both Parkway West and Parkway North High School.

Freshman Coach Jeff Blankenship

Jeff Blankenship returns this year to West as the head Freshman coach for both the Boys Soccer team and the Baseball team.  His soccer experience includes playing competitively for indoor/outdoor teams through high school and for various clubs in college.  In baseball, he played varsity each year in high school and since has enjoyed recreational leagues and assisting various little league programs.
