Health and Physical Education Department Mission Statement;

“Here at SWM, we have a strong belief that it is our mission to provide our students and community with quality programs that will help them to become better citizens both now and in the future. Our program aims to cover all areas of health and fitness including physical, social, and mental/emotional aspects. Above all, it is our goal to inspire children to be physically active and to make healthy choices in order to help prepare them for a positive experience in school and throughout their lifetime.”

 Students' Parents:

We believe that all students should be awarded the opportunity to succeed. Student achievement is based on application of fitness through daily cardio, core, upper body and flexibility work. Physical Education is a venue to enhance basic skills such as throwing, catching, kicking, dribbling, etc. Students are expected to remain on task and practice such skills. Class expectations include positive social skills governed by RESPECT and SPORTMANSHIP.  Proper DRESS includes TIED tennis shoes (no exceptions) and appropriate clothing worn as addressed in the student handbook.  The expectation for each student is an environment of mutual respect for self and others.
