In the Mark Twain Readers Program, the books are selected primarily by students in grades four through six and presented annually as a list of 12 nominees.
The Truman Readers Award encourages students in the early teen years to express their unique voices by exploring new literary genres, communicating with their peers about young adult literature, and honoring the nominated authors' writing for young teens.
Mark Twain books are reserved for sixth grade through the end of December. These books are housed behind the circulation desk.
Truman books are reserved for seventh and eighth grade through the end of December. These books are housed behind the circulation desk.
Incentive cut-off dates are October 31st, January 31st, and April 30th.
