What are our core structures that promote a caring, safe and healthy environment for all members of our school community?

9/28/2009: What data will be collected to reveal current reality?

  • What clubs/extra curricular activities are students joining?  Does this impact student success?
  • Does class size have an impact on creating a safe, healthy and caring enviornment?
  • Are students who attend a private school versus a public school more motivated/involved?

  • positive student/teacher relationships
  • lots of opportunities to get involved in various clubs and sports
  • parent communication is strong using various modes

  • Presence of emotional bullying: Teacher survey #14, Parent survey #10, Student Climate #4,#6 (physical bullying)

  • Emotional bullying questions need to be added to the climate survey
  • Create emotional bullying Board Policy

  • Continue to explore other avenues to promote a healthy lifestyle via physical education and healthy lunches
  • Continue to look for trends on climate survey
