Actions Taken

Summary

Participants were given a book to read before the next meeting, which includes research from leading early childhood experts.

At our next meeting, participants will join a focus group in order to study a topic relevant to kindergarten.

The co-chairs of the Kindergarten Study met with a Project Parkway committee member to discuss future considerations, which included gathering information from other districts in regard to studying kindergarten, and finding ways to assess the current state of kindergarten in Parkway. In order to gain more input from our parent community, each elementary school will be asked to recommend one or two parents to join the Kindergarten Study.
