Student Council Officers Make Big Plans for the Upcoming School Year!

On Thursday, July 19, Michael Sei (Student Body President), Amanda Toser-Aldaz (Student Body Vice-President), Andrew Evans (8th Grade President), and Lucy Garlich (7th Grade President) met at Northeast and brainstormed plans for the upcoming school year.

August

September

Throughout the year:

  • The officers will oversee the different events (e.g., Community events at restaurants, mixers, Appreciation Days, etc.) and elected representatives as well as all students from Northeast will be invited and encouraged to sign up for the events/committees that are of interest to them.
  • Student Council will coordinate efforts with Zero Conflict, the Northeast Middle School Friends of Rachel Club in addressing issues of bullying and creating a positive climate at Northeast.
  • If possible, Student Council will coordinate with the After-School Activities Program to host a concession stand at intramural events at Northeast.
  • 8th grade Student Council students will tutor 6th grade students.
