Washington University (MAT 1992)

I got my masters in teaching with a focus in English Literature. I did my student teaching at Kirkwood High School.

My parents still live in Dallas--they visit frequently and we go there a couple of times a year.

Washington University (BA 1991, cum laude)

After an exhaustive college search, I went to Washington University. I chose the school for the academics of course, but the final factor was the fact that the zoo and the art museum were free and within walking distance from campus. Not able to decide what to major in, I carried four majors until my advisor told me that I could only declare two. So Anthropology and Political Science got the boot and I stuck with Economics and English Literature.

My sister lives with her husband in Brooklyn. They have two girls, Phoebe and Hazel. I'm thrilled to be an aunt.

I'm one of those people who always has several books going at one time. I like to read different kinds of books depending on my mood. Plus, I never like that moment when you finish a book and you don't know what to read next. I always have one started.

J. J. Pearce High School (class of 1987)

My high school probably won't sound familiar to you because I grew up in Dallas, TX. No making fun of Texas in my proximity, please.

My husband grew up here and went to Parkway Central. Don't worry, he roots for PNH now. We met at Washington University when we were both Resident Advisors in the dorms. He's a professor of psychology at SIUE and he has a private practice in Clayton.

Our boys, 13 and 10, love music, reading, and sports--they keep us busy going to their games. Of course they are also sweet and brilliant--just ask their grandparents.
