Hello and welcome to my page! I am a third year English teacher at Parkway North High School. I am also the head coach of the boys’ Varsity soccer team, I coordinate the Focus St. Louis program and am involved with Peer Teaching.
I graduated from St. Louis University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. Upon graduation I was hired by Anheuser-Busch and made the move to Canton, OH. Turns out Ohio and me don’t mix, and before too long I took a job as the assistant soccer coach at Butler University, in Indianapolis, IN. I enjoyed the idea of working with and helping the youth, and this set the gearshift for a return to school in pursuit of a teaching certification. Two more years of school did not seem all that appealing to me, but I realized, in the grand scheme of things, two years was very minimal for something I wanted to spend my life doing!
I moved back to St. Louis and enrolled at Missouri Baptist University, where I also became their assistant soccer coach. I earned my certification in Secondary English two years after, and just this past summer completed a Master of Arts in Teaching.
In my spare time I like to read, (obviously) listen to all kinds of music, cook, go to concerts and travel. I married my best friend on August 1, 2009 and we have a one-year old black lab named Bosco. I am slightly obsessed with a band called Phish and the Manchester United Futbol Club.
Thank you for visiting my site and have a great day!
