· Simplify a quadratic equation by using the Distributive property and collecting like terms
· Write a quadratic in standard form by moving all terms to the same side of the equation. Accomplish this step by applying the Addition and/or Subtraction Property of Equality
· Use the Quadratic Formula to solve a quadratic equation
· Verify solutions 
Students will be able to:
· Write a quadratic equation that represents the area of a polygon
· Identify the initial velocity, initial and final height of an object in motion
· Set up and solve a projectile motion equation (position equation)
· Verify the solutions to a contextual situation and discard inappropriate answers

Students will be able to:
· Isolate the required variable in a literal equation by using inverse operations:
o Apply the Distributive Property
o Apply the Addition Property of Equality
o Apply the Subtraction Property of Equality
