South High teacher is a serious number!

Many people already know Scott Degitz, a South High math teacher, who was Parkway's teacher of the year in 2009.  But now the world, at least the baseball world, will also know his face.  Over spring break, Scott was busy starring in a video for the St. Louis Cardinals that plays at Cardinals' games and has also airs on television stations KSDK, FOX Sports Midwest and ESPN.

There are two versions of the video.  The 30-second video is part of the "Six is a Serious Number" promotion that Cardinals' fans may remember from last year.

There's also a full-length video (1:12 minutes) for more serious Six and Scott fans.

A model and actor with the Azalea Agency, Scott beat out more than 400 people to land the lead in the Cardinals' promotional video.  He also just started rehearsals for "The Drowsy Chaperone," in which he plays the lead charcter Aldolpho, a European ladies' man. The musical opens in August at Tower Grove Abbey off Grand.  "Teaching and acting is the perfect combination for me.  It makes me truly happy," he says.
