Mason Ridge Elementary

We have had a great year and I cannot believe it is coming to an end. The next few weeks will be very busy at Mason Ridge. Mason Ridge will be having a retirement party for staff members retiring at the end of the school year. Please feel free to stop by the Ramsey Center on May 11^th from 4:30-6:00 p.m. to honor our retirees. Our annual school carnival is May 18^th from 12:00-3:00 p.m. and field day will be on the last day of school.

We recently welcomed our incoming kindergarten students at “Wild About Kindergarten.” We had a great time interacting with the students and we look forward to seeing everyone in the fall. We will also have play based screening on May 25^th. Play based screening is an opportunity, if you choose, to have your student screened.

On Friday, April 27^th students and parents participated in Green our School. Thanks to Cynthia Pavelka and many other parents for their help beautifying our school and enhancing our outdoor areas. I also want to thank the 5^th graders for all their help planting the new landscape in the back of the school. Included in the new landscape is the 5^th grade gift to our school, a “rearing mustang” statue.

Our 5th graders have made their final visit to Central Middle School and West Middle School.  This is an exciting time for them as they prepare for the next phase of their education.  We want to wish our 5th grade class all the best.  We will miss you and know that you will represent Mason Ridge with pride and dignity.

The last day of school will be Wednesday, May 23rd and will be a full day.  We have many fun activities planned for the day.  Turkey and cheese sack lunches will be served that day or you may send lunch to school in a brown bag.
