Two Parkway schools to implement programs to reduce energy costs

Parkway is participating in an energy efficiency project, funded by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and St. Louis County. It is anticipated the district will save $95,000 annually by reducing its energy usage through the program and also reduce Parkway’s environmental footprint.

Parkway North High and South High Schools were identified to participate in the project.  The schools will use software from Talisen Technologies to allow the buildings to operate more efficiently on an ongoing basis and use less energy by identifying the areas where energy can be saved.  The software will be employed following a comprehensive energy audit of each school to identify areas needing improvement.

The program will be implemented later this month.
