Board President Monty Montgomery called McCarter both capable and inspiring. "We interviewed four outstanding applicants and are grateful for their interest in serving. We look forward to working with Dudley to continue to provide the very best public education to the children of Parkway," he said. McCarter will be officially sworn in at the August 9 board of education meeting and will serve on the board until April 3, 2007. At that time, the seat will come up for election.
