North High Students Receive Congressional Art Honors

At the recent Congressional Art Show for the first district of Missouri, Parkway North High senior Linda Cosner won first place for her painting "Toothpaste and Fuzz." She will receive three tickets to fly to Washington D. C. to attend the opening of the national Congressional Art Show in June. The art work will hang in the Cannon tunnel for the next year and be seen by government officials, dignitaries, and visitors to the capitol. North High junior Meagan Sweeney won second place and will have her ink drawing "Mardi Gras" hang in Congressman William "Lacy" Clay’s St. Louis office for the next year. The congressman also chose junior Leslie Song’s painting "Culture of Korea" to hang in his Washington D. C. office.
