Personal Leave

A classified employee is eligible for up to three (3) personal days during a school year with the exception of Bus Drivers, Special Needs Attendants, and Dietary Aides who are eligible for up to two (2) personal days per school year. For all employees, personal days are intended for such business that cannot be handled at times other than during the regular employment hours. If three personal days have been used (or two if a Bus Driver, Special Needs Attendant or Dietary Aide), one (1) additional day of personal leave with pay per school year can be requested if one or more personal days have been used for religious purposes. This additional day requires pre-approval by the Director of Human Resources or designee based upon written request and explanation by the employee.

Personal leave should be requested at least five (5) days in advance of the absence, except in cases of emergency.
