Parkway at the InAuguration

Family on computerWelcome to the Parkway School District's Inauguration 2009 Web page. Sixty-three juniors and seniors representing Central, North, South and West high schools, along with 12 chaperones, will travel to D.C. on January 17th to be part of the inauguration of the 44th President of the United States of America. Parkway is "in the house," and we want to share our experience with you!

You are invited to join us in a variety of ways prior to the event, during the event, and after the event.

Pre-Trip Student Talk and Ongoing Videos: Students are so excited about Obama that one asks a teacher to take them to Washington, D.C. In videos and conversations, they share their dreams and expectations.

Photographs: Be a part of the experience by viewing our photo gallery. The gallery will be updated each evening starting January 17th.

Podcast: Hear what students are saying as they join millions of Americans at the numerous inaugural events scheduled under the direction of President-elect Obama. The podcast will be uploaded each evening starting January 17th.

Blog: Click on our "Blog" link to read the thoughts of the students and chaperones who are participating in the trip. The Blog will be available starting January 10th and will be active through January 30th.
