Social Studies   

In First Grade, we learn that our neighborhood is a place where we live, work and play. 

First graders take a field trip to our Parkway Community discovering how we get our daily supplies and food for our lunches stored in the Parkway Warehouse.  We visit the Transportation Department and Recycling Center for Parkway School District. 

We study maps and globes and literally figure out "Where in the world do we live?".  Holidays and Special Days are also a focus for our Social Studies program.  We work on many social skills as well as learn how we can come together to become good citizens.
