BIBLIOPHILES

Baron von Steuben set out to turn to train the Continental troops into a professional army. He taught by example. Instead of drilling the entire army at once, he was given an expanded unit to serve as a model. He taught this unit the basics about being a soldier. He drilled this MODEL company. They then joined other units and demonstrated to the rest of the troops in those units how to march and load their muskets by orders.
The Bibliophiles are trained as the Hanna Woods Model Library Company. Two to three students in each class from grades 3-5 are invited to join by present members. By example and by giving instruction, they spread the training on a one to one basics to the others in their classrooms. Instead of marching rules we teach research skills. Instead of a musket, we help students find and use books properly. We are true book lovers and readers. Lovers of book like to share their knowledge with others.
