STUDENT AND CLASSES ARE ENCOURAGED TO COME AT ANY TIME

Our flexible schedule allows teachers  to sign up as needed  for different times based upon their schedules and the subjects they would like taught.

The LMC is open from 7:20-2:55

The use of the library media center and instruction is not separate from the disciplines such as communication arts, science and social studies. The kind and extent of the library use called for by classroom assignments determines when student learn informational skills. The cooperative efforts of the classroom teacher and the librarian provide opportunities for students to learn and practice these skills.

Books are checked out for two weeks.  Magazines and reference items are checked out overnight. Items may be renewed. Overdue notices are distributed weekly by Library Services. We do not charge fines for overdue items but we do charge for lost or damaged items.

Kindergarten, First and Second Grades may check out 1-2 books at a time.
Third, Fourth and Fifth Grades may check out may check out 3-6 books at a time.

FACILITIES

Hanna Woods Library Media Center is a large atrium area in the primary grade area.  It offers an extensive collection of materials for recreational and educational use.  Seating is available for about 36 students.  There is also carpeted "floor seating" as well as a pit area.

There are 10 computers available in the library for students use providing access to the Internet; databases such as, Kid's Info Bits, Culturegrams, and World Book, and the Parkway on-line catalog, PANDA.   We also have 20 lap top computers for student instruction.

You can check to see if you have an overdue book by viewing your account.

  • Visit http://panda.pkwy.k12.mo.us/Hanna/welcome/html
  • Choose your school
  • Click on Library Catalog
  • Click the My Account tab at the top of the screen
  • Enter your borrower barcode number.  This is a nine-digit number.  A student barcode number needs enough zeroes added to the front of it to make it a nine-digit number followed by your student number.  For example, 000303126.
  • The PIN number is the last four digits of your home telephone number.
  • Once logged in, you can view the items you currently have checked out, each book's due date

USE OUR DATA BASES
