Parkway has had in place since 1992, a comprehensive energy conservation/management program. Through this program the district has saved, on average, over $800,000 annually on its utility bills. This has been accomplished through both educating employees, focusing on periods when the buildings are vacated and through mechanical upgrades funded in great part through the support of the community through bond issues. This section will illustrate the history of energy costs and savings for the district.
