Goal 1: All students are Capable Learners who transfer their prior learning to new demands, in and out of school.

Objective 4: All students who take an Advanced Placement exam will score qualified to extremely well-qualified.

The current status:

The current status: In the 2011-2012 school year, 975 Parkway students took a combined 1728 AP Exams. 80.8% of students' scores were 3, 4, or 5. 13.5% scored a 2 and 5.7% scored a 1.

Why the objective is important:

Advanced Placement (AP) courses assist students in acquiring the skills and habits needed for college success. By earning a score of qualified or above on AP Exams, students can earn college credit and advanced placement and improve their standing within the college admission process.

How the objective is measured:

AP Exams, taken at the end of designated AP courses, are scored along a five point scale (1-5). A score of 3 is deemed "qualified," 4 is "well-qualified," and 5 is "extremely well qualified."
