High School Students Encouraged: Become an Involved Citizen!

Wednesday, Sept. 5 is right around the corner! All are invited—Parkway high school students, staff, parents, community—to Parkway’s first ever student-led Legislative Forum to be held at 7 p.m. at Central High School, 369 N. Woods Mill Road in Chesterfield. *****

Doors open at 6 p.m. for voting equipment demonstrations, voter registration and student club-sharing. A panel discussion, moderated by Josh Travis, South High senior and Governor of Missouri American Legion Boys State, will begin at 7 p.m. The panel will include Missouri legislators Senator Joan Bray; Senator Michael Gibbons; Representative Rick Stream; and Representative Sam Page. The panel will be followed by round-table discussions to include all of our attending state and local elected officials.
Join us as Parkway and Kids Voting Missouri promote the importance of being an involved and active citizen in a democratic society. Students may earn hours for government class community service. For more information, call (314) 415-8069.
