Students Excel in Science Fair & Science Olympiad

Four Parkway Students Earn Science Fair Recognition

Hanna Wiedner, Central High senior, took third place overall in the St. Louis Science Fair Honors Division on February 2. Her project was entitled, "Pseudo-Estrogen Bisphenol A Alters Normal Drosophila Development."

Alice Zou, South High junior, was also a top-10 finalist with her project, "Consumer Preference of Soymilks."

Two Parkway students were semifinalists in the competition:

  • Jenna Lin, South High junior, Project Title "Particle Size Measurement of Aerosols Generated by an Electrospray"
  • Shalini Subbarao, West High senior, Project Title "Expression of a thrombin chimera carrying the activation peptide of protein"

West Middle Students Qualify for State Science Olympiad Tournament

Congratulations to students from West Middle who participated in the St. Louis Regional Science Olympiad competition recently! They have qualified to go to the state level tournament in April.

Northeast Middle and Southwest Middle also had teams competing in the event this year. Thanks to all of the parents involved in helping students prepare!
