Parkway Earns High Marks on New State Rating System

Governor Jay Nixon congratulated Parkway on its continued academic success when he visited Oak Brook Elementary School recently. The district ranked among the top 3 percent of all Missouri school districts with a 98.2 percent score on recently-released results from the state’s new annual performance rating system.

With the new and more rigorous rating system, schools are evaluated on:

  • Academic achievement
  • Subgroup achievement
  • College and career readiness
  • Attendance and graduation

The state will also be producing annual school-level performance reviews in addition to the district review. Based on recent data, all 18 elementary schools, all five middle schools and all four traditional high schools received at least 90 percent of the points possible.
