Help Parkway Win $250,000 for Solar Power

With your help, Parkway North students can win $250,000 to help the Parkway School District become the first completely solar school district in the Midwest, if not the country.

Students have entered their idea in the Pepsi Refresh Project, a nationwide search for people, businesses, and non-profits with ideas that will have a positive impact on their communities.

You can help by voting and/or sharing with your network of friends the following three ways to vote:

North High's proposal is asking for the seed money from which to seek matching grants and donations. All of the $250,000 would be invested in solar power panels, interface systems and monitoring hardware.

Parkway School District has agreed to take the money saved and allow it to be used to gain additional matching grants and donations year after year and reinvest it in further solar expansion until the district is completely solar and geothermal.

Voting is available throughout November. You can vote once each day using each method listed above for a total of three votes per day.
