Candidates May File for Parkway Board in December

Two director positions for three-year terms are open in the April 4, 2006 election. Filing for the Parkway Board of Education will begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, and continue until Tuesday, Jan. 17, at 5 p.m. Hours vary. On Dec. 26 and Jan. 2 and 16, no filing will take place due to holidays. Otherwise, filing hours are from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Filing must be done in person at Parkway's Administrative Center, 455 North Woods Mill Road in Chesterfield. Eligibility requirements for the Parkway Board of Education are: - citizen of the United States, - at least 24 years old, - a resident taxpayer of the Parkway School District and - have, or will have, resided in Missouri for one year prior to the April 4, 2006 election. At the time of filing, applicants should provide a biographical statement of no more than 200 words and a recent photograph, which will be used for media releases and Parkway publications.
