Parkway Goes to Washington

Sixty-three Parkway students and 12 chaperones traveled to Washington, D.C. on January 17 to take part in the inauguration festivities. Experience their trip through photos, videos, podcasts, blogs and twitters. All of these and more are available on the official Parkway Inauguration Web site

After traveling more than 14 hours by bus, students attended the H.O.P.E. Inaugural Youth Ball on Saturday evening and didn't stop until Tuesday afternoon when they headed home.

Other highlights included: Arlington Cemetery, the Smithsonian, the Pentagon, inaugural opening ceremonies, a youth concert, a National Day of Service project and, of course, the inauguration ceremony itself. Parkway social studies coordinator, Liz Morrison, organized the trip and got everyone home safe and sound!
