Parkway's Teacher of the Year committee has chosen Debbie Difani, eighth-grade social studies teacher at West Middle, as the Parkway School District 2008 Teacher of the Year and Middle School Teacher of the Year. The elementary and high school teachers of the year were also named. *****

Jill Shapiro, first-grade teacher at Hanna Woods, is the district's 2008 Elementary School Teacher of the Year, and Wendy Freebersyser, math teacher at North High, is the 2008 High School Teacher of the Year.

Debbie Difani will now go on to represent the district in the Missouri Teacher of the Year recognition program.
