Teacher in Afghanistan Gets 55 Boxes from Central High Students

Central High school students are thankful for their teacher, Mr. Ben Silvermintz!

Just before Thanksgiving, Central High students packed 55 boxes full of items to send to Silvermintz and his unit, currently stationed in Afghanistan. The collection effort was led by the Central High student club, Project Help. Ben Silvermintz is serving his second tour of duty overseas as a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserves. The Director of Choral Activities at Parkway Central High since 2008, Silvermintz graduated from the school in 2002.

Happy holidays to Mr. Silvermintz and his wife, here in St. Louis, expecting a baby in December!
