Parkway Announces New Administrators

Parkway School District is pleased to announce new administrative appointments effective July 1, 2006. Tim Dutton has been appointed principal of Barretts Elementary. Dutton is currently the principal of Russell Elementary in the Hazelwood School District. He also has experience as an assistant principal in the Francis Howell School District and as an elementary and middle school classroom teacher in the Rockwood School District. Dutton is replacing Annie Ritter, who is retiring at the end of the 2005-2006 school year. Simone Wilson has been appointed principal of Highcroft Ridge Elementary. Wilson is currently the administrative intern at Highcroft Ridge. Prior to her administrative experience, Wilson was a classroom teacher at Highcroft Ridge and a classroom teacher in the St. Louis Public School District. Wilson is replacing Dr. Carole Stone, who is retiring at the end of the 2005-2006 school year. Dr. Rebecca Langrall has been appointed coordinator of secondary communication arts. Langrall is currently a communication arts teacher at North High. Prior to coming to Parkway, she was an assistant professor of curriculum and instruction at Wichita State University, an English teacher at the American School of Milan and director of secondary teacher preparation at Dartmouth College. Langrall is replacing Lisa Schwarz, who has accepted an assistant principal position at Southwest Middle.
