Parkway Students to Vote Nov. 4

All Parkway students, regardless of age, will have the opportunity to vote on Nov. 4 with the Kids Voting Missouri program. The purpose of Kids Voting is to encourage young people to become educated, engaged citizens and voters. Read about activities in our schools at 999999

On Election Day, Parkway students will join more than 300,000 Missouri students in grades K-12 as they vote on special Kids Voting ballots for most of the same candidates and issues as adult voters. Students serving as junior poll workers will help “run” the elections in their schools. Parkway’s results will be posted online at shortly after the election.

Kids Voting Missouri is a national, non-partisan program administered by the College of Education at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

Parent Feedback Wanted on Counseling Programs

In an effort to continually improve its programs and services, Parkway conducts periodic surveys of parents, teachers and alumni. We are now evaluating the counseling program. If you are a Parkway parent, please take a moment to complete a 10-question online survey regarding the counseling program at your school. 999999

The survey should take approximately two minutes to complete. Please respond by Nov. 17. Your input is important to us as we work to create the strongest system of support for our students.  The link to the survey is

Parents: Prepare for School Closings!

It’s getting to be that season again.
In addition to winter weather, emergencies can also occur during the school day. Parents, please ensure you have a plan in place outlining each family member’s responsibility during an emergency school closing, and be sure to review it with your child.999999

AlertNow messages: Parkway parents will receive a recorded phone message when school is closed due to weather or unforeseen emergencies. If the closing occurs late at night or very early in the morning, only home telephone numbers will be called. If school closes during the day, parents’ cell and work phones will also be called, and messages sent to parents' e-mail addresses.

In addition to the AlertNow phone messages, the traditional sources of closing information will continue to be available through the Parkway Web site at, the 415-SNOW hotline at (314) 415-7669 and local media outlets.

Important: Be sure to keep your school informed of any phone number and e-mail address changes throughout the year so that you will receive emergency and/or routine phone and e-mail messages.
