Last Day of School is May 30

The last day of school for Parkway students will be Wednesday, May 30, 2007. It will be a full day for K-8 students and a half-day (due to finals) for 9-12 students. The last full day for teachers will be Thursday, May 31, 2007. All of the above is still subject to change, depending on any unforeseen circumstances, such as weather or an emergency school closing.

Parkway Announces New Administrators

Parkway School District is pleased to announce new administrative appointments effective July 1, 2007. Will Rosa has been appointed director of transportation. Rosa is currently a transportation director for Laidlaw Transit. He is replacing Mike Byrne, who is retiring. Wesley Garton has been appointed chief financial officer. Garton is currently the director of finance for the Francis Howell School District. He is replacing Mark Stockwell, who has accepted a position in the Clayton School District. Rhonda Page has been appointed assistant principal at North High. Page has been an administrative intern at North High for the past two years. Prior to her administrative experience, Page was a math teacher at North High and at the Alternative Discipline Center.

Granting Dreams Ceremony is May 9

The 2007 Granting Dreams ceremony will be at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, at West High School, 14653 Clayton Road in Ballwin. Nearly 200 students will receive grants from the Parkway Alumni Association. All parents, faculty and staff are invited to join the Alumni Association in congratulating these students at the ceremony and reception. This year the Granting Dreams program will top $100,000 and 1,000 grants to students.
