You can now view Parkway's 2005-2006 District Profile on the Parkway web site. The profile reflects data and statistics from the 2005-06 school year including: district finances, student enrollment, attendance, graduation, testing results, curriculum offerings, program participation and staffing data. Individual school-by-school profiles are also available, as well as links to the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) district "report card." Granting Dreams through the Parkway Alumni AssociationThe Parkway Alumni Association's Granting Dreams program is designed to turn dreams into realities for Parkway students eager to further their learning or explore new opportunities. Grants of up to $250 will be awarded as well as grant opportunities of community resources and/or Alumni support. Students are encouraged to submit requests that demonstrate a commitment to furthering skills, acquiring knowledge or experience, participating in school-related activities, or community activities. Any current Parkway student is eligible to apply. The grants are funded solely through donations. Applications are available in the schools or by calling (314) 415-8074 and leaving your name and address. Dream Grant applications must be received by 4 p.m. on Feb. 20, 2007 at the Alumni Association office at 455 North Woods Mill Road in Chesterfield.

Kindergarten Registration Begins February 7Parkway School District will begin half-day and full-day kindergarten registration for the 2007-2008 school year on Feb. 7, 2007 at all Parkway elementary schools. Students must be five years old before August 1 to enter kindergarten. Bring the following information at the time of registration: -an official birth certificate issued by the Office of Vital Records of the state/country in which the child was born; -the child's social security number; -the child's immunization records; -names and telephone numbers of child's doctor and dentist; -names and telephone numbers of two neighbors/relatives who can be contacted in case of an emergency; and -two proofs of parent/guardian's residency. These documents should contain parent/guardian's name and address. One of the required proofs of residency can be a deed/sales contract, a contract to lease/rent, or a current real estate tax receipt. The other proof of residency should be a current unpaid utility bill, bank statement, credit card statement, employer's record of address, or governmental acknowledgment of address (i.e., Social Security, welfare, voter registration, etc.) For more information about Parkway's kindergarten program, please contact Dr. Bonnie Maxey, assistant superintendent, at (314) 415-8010.
