Register for 2013-14 Kindergarten on Jan. 29, Have Chance for Free Jumpstart to Kindergarten Class


It could pay to be one of the first to register for kindergarten this year!  Registration for Parkway’s 2013-14 full-day, tuition-free kindergarten program begins Tuesday, January 29, at every elementary schoolThose who register on Tuesday, January 29, will be eligible for a free “Jumpstart to Kindergarten” class ($50 value) for their child this summer.

Area Budget Meetings Scheduled for January


Parkway parents, staff and community members are invited to attend any of a series of meetings to review a draft list of budget reductions. For convenience, one meeting will be held at each area high school; however, all will have the same content and are open to anyone. Meetings are from 7-9 p.m. on the dates and at locations listed below:

Parkway Makes College Board AP Honor Roll


Parkway School District is one of 539 districts in the U.S. and only six  in Missouri named by the College Board to be included on its Third Annual AP District Honor Roll. Districts are recognized for simultaneously increasing access to Advanced Placement (AP) course work while raising the percentage of students earning scores on AP exams high enough to qualify for college credit (3 or higher).

Introducing Peanut Butter Alternative, SunButter


Good news for those with peanut allergies! In January 2013, Parkway will introduce a physician-approved peanut butter alternative called SunButter® in school cafeterias. SunButter® will be featured on salad buffets, snack lines and after-school snacks at the high schools.
