I travel throughout the day to different classrooms to assist the ESOL students in their core classes, but I will use Joyce's room as my "home base." Biography: This is my 7th year being an ESOL TA at PCMS and I enjoy working with the ESOL students. I graduated from Wartburg College with a degree in Elementary Education. I am currently working on my Master's Degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia and towards my ESOL certification. I have my teacher certification in elementary grades k-6 and middle school math.

Experience: I have been a teaching assistant at PCMS since December 2001. Prior to PCMS my experience has been primarily with adults in a work setting. My competencies include; individual and organizational needs assessment, data analysis and interpretation, intervention planning and delivery, and evaluation. Personal: I am married with one child who is in high school. |

I taught high school Comm. Arts before teaching ESOL. I have a Masters in TESOL and am a National Board Certified teacher. My goals are to help ELLs and their families feel connected to Central Middle and be supported in their journey learning English. |
