Online Report Cards Next Year for Grades 6-12
Parkway will move to a paperless report card system for grades 6-12 beginning with the first reporting cycle of the 2012-13 school year.
Currently, copies of report cards are mailed six times a year to the household of every student in grades 6-12. Next year, secondary parents and students will use Infinite Campus’s Student/Parent Portal to retrieve report card information.
This project is being undertaken in conjunction with Project Parkway Goal #6 to “responsibly and efficiently allocate resources including finances, facilities, personnel and time.” When implemented, a paperless report card solution will save the district approximately $42,000 dollars annually.

Nuts 'n' Colts
Central's robotics team--Nuts 'n' Colts--attended their first robotics competition at Chavitz Center during spring break. We were awarded the prize for best "coopertition." The game this year was to sink spongy basketballs into hoops at 3 different heights. We hope to have another team for next year. For more information about the robotics competition, click here.
Project Help visits APA
The members of Project Help's exec and the event chairs recently presented the APA with a check of $200 as donated by the PCHS community. The money was collected through general donations and Valentine's day sales. We also donated boxes of supplies (seen in the back of the check presentation picture) for the APA containing a lot of donated items, i.e. dog and cat toys, shredded paper, towels, food, scarves, etc.
Afterwards, we received a tour of the facility and spent some time out in the dog park running around with the dogs to give them some extra exercise. Even though the dogs are walked regularly, they may not get more than a few minutes outside with a dog walker at a time. Not to mention, it was a lot of fun to get to play with the dogs!
