PRESENT AND PAST PERSONAL FINANCE STUDENTS are you interested in the chance to win up to $1500 in savings bonds? If so, talk to Ms. Shah about registering for the 2010 Missouri Personal Finance Challenge.
The Speech and Debate Team will have a VERY IMPORTANT MEETING ON MONDAY 2/8 after school in room 952. All those looking to attend NFL Districts need to be present. Important information on this tournament will be finalized.

Saturday the JV Academic Challenge Team competed in a tournament at DeSmet. At the end of regulation play in the championship round, PCH and DeSmet were tied, but PCH won the overtime playoff 3-0 to win the tournament. Team members were Henry Chen, Ahmed Eltahir, Matt Sprague, Sharjeel Zahid, and Thomas Hack. Thomas was among the medalists for individual high scorers.

In sports action over the weekend: Freshman and JV Girls' Basketball defeated Parkway West, Varsity Girls Basketball lost to Parkway West, Freshman and Varsity Boys' Basketball lost to Parkway West, and JV Boys' Basketball defeated Parkway West. In sports action today, Girls' Freshman Basketball will play in the Park/Rock tournament @ Summit vs. Eureka at 5:30, and the Boys' Freshman Basketball team will play @ South vs. Marquette at 7:00 in the Park/Rock tournament.. TONIGHT--- February 1st---3:00 p.m.

Saturday the Academic Challenge team competed in the 12th annual WUSHAC Tournament at Washington University. 42 teams from across Missouri and several other states competed. Our C Team, Kevin Zheng, Jonathan Rembold, Keith Coulson, Shawn He, and Brad Lai, finished with a 2-3 recored. The B Team, Kefu Lu, Sean Cahill, Eric Burns, Thomas Hack, and Sharjeel Zahid finished 16th with a 3-2 record and Kefu was among the individual medalists. The A Team finished second in the tournament, defeating all other Missouri teams and losing to a team from Springfield, IL. We were especially excited to have defeated Ransom Everglades, a Florida team that was ranked 20th in the nation last year. Team members are: Liron Ganel, Nick Rupel, Chris Zhang, and Ammar Zahid.

Scholar Athletes: If you did not pick up your T-shirt last week, please stop by the Activities Office for your free T-shirt if you were on a Fall Sport and achieved a 3.25 GPA or higher.
Congrats goes out to Emily Sisson who over the weekend at KU ran the third fastest time in national history over the 3000meter distance for a high school student. In addition to running a marvalous time she broke the Kansas Field House record, won the race, and her second place competitor broke the KU record in the process. Congrats Emily
