I'm so excited to be teaching fourth grade again this year. I have also taught 1st, K, 5th and pre-school (fourth longer than the rest). In addition to this, I have been a teacher's aid, and taught in summer programs at various grade/age levels.
I feel so lucky to be a teacher and consider myself to be a life long learner. I continue to take classes/workshops every year to build upon my elementary certification from University of Missouri St. Louis and my Master's Degree in Teaching Reading from Webster University. Each year the children teach me new things and each class has unique needs and personalities.
I am a mother of four. My children are in 7th grade, 5th, 2nd, and 3 years old (three boys and a girl). My husband and I live in Parkway and our children attend Parkway Schools. I love living in the community in which I teach and am very likely to run into Carman Trails students in my regular routines.
When you enter my classroom you will notice a wall hanging that says simply, "BELIEVE." This simple word has been inspiring. As Henry Ford said,
" Whether you think you can or think you can't - you are right."
