What is a Progress Monitoring Coach?

 

I am the Progress Monitoring Coach at McKelvey Elementary and Carman Trails schools. I serve many roles as a Progress Monitoring Coach, though my ultimate goal is to increase achievement for ALL students. 

As a Data Coach, I ensure that student outcome data drive decision making at the classroom and school level.

As a Resource Provider, I expand teams’ and/or teachers’ use of a variety of resources to improve student outcomes.

As a School Leader, I work collaboratively with the school’s formal leadership to design, implement, and assess school change initiatives to ensure alignment and focus on intended results.

As a Catalyst for Change, I create disequilibrium with the current state as an impetus to explore alternatives to current practice.

As a Learning Facilitator, I design collaborative, job-embedded, standards-based professional learning.

As a Learner, I model continuous learning, to keep current, and to be a “thought” leader in the school.
