Ms. Reiling's 3rd Grade Class!

Ms. Reiling's Story

Carman Trails genuinely wants to hear stories of kids and families because everyone has their own story to share.  Below is my story and I am looking forward to hearing yours.

I grew up in a supportive and loving family, which includes my parents and my younger sister, Nora.  My dad, the chef, always had a dream of owning his own restaurant so for nine years of my life, my family lived out his dream.  Growing up in that type of environment taught me about following dreams and working hard for them.  Our family had to constantly support and nurture one another to keep a good balance between work and home life.  I love to cook, but becoming a chef was not my dream; however my parents encouraged me to follow my dream.  I earned my degrees at Truman State University and was blessed to do my student teaching in Germany on an army base.  After five months of student teaching and traveling throughout Europe, I got my job at Carman Trails.  My family and my Carman Trails family continue to support my teaching dream, and I’m very thankful for them.

My goal this year is to build a positive, engaging community in our Where The Wild Things Are classroom where all the students help one another to learn and grow!  When I'm not teaching, I enjoy going on walks with my dog Troy, cooking, thrift store shopping and traveling.

Thank you for being apart of our classroom community!
