art Art Education at Bellerive School

Students at Bellerive Elementary School experience instruction in art on a weekly basis in an art room/studio setting. The scope and sequence of art lessons are based on a developmental Parkway curriculum in the visual arts, determining the appropriate and optimal ages for the introduction of various art concepts, the development of technical art production skill, and the appreciation of artworks within a cultural context.

Even more importantly, students at Bellerive School learn to approach problems creatively and imaginatively during their years of art experience and instruction. Students are encouraged to observe carefully, consider a range of options, experiment, explore, and apply knowledge in new and individual ways.

The internet provides a wealth of opportunity for students to explore art further. Below are some suggested sites grouped according to various art education categories. Clicking on the title of any site within a category will take you to its home page.
