Hello! My name is Pam Gorse and I am happy to be your child’s school nurse. It is my goal to work with students, parents and staff to ensure the best possible health and safety for the Barretts community.  Feel free to contact me with any questions at 314-415-6010 or by e-mail.

PLEASE contact me for changes in your child’s health history, medications, or any health issue that would affect how we care for your child at school. I can best care for your child, especially in an emergency situation, if I have up to date information.

The attendance line phone number is 314-415-6026. Please call and let us know if your child is going to be kept home from school. For illness tracking, I would appreciate it if you would give the reason for the absence on your message. If you would rather leave me a message directly, please call or e-mail me; I check both upon arriving to school each day.

Medication Policy
Per district policy, all medications, both prescription and over-the-counter, must have both a Parent Authorization Form and a Physician's Order on file at school before the medication can be administered.  Prescription medications must have a current year label; OTC medication must be supplied from home, in the original container.  Please refer to Parkway School District Policy JLCD.BP for more information.  Click here to access the Parent Authorization Form and here to access the Physician Order Form.

Upcoming Screenings for Grades K, 1, 3, 5
Vision screenings are scheduled for October 4, 2012. Students should bring their glasses if they wear them.
Hearing screenings are scheduled for October 26, 2012.
