The student must have been in the United States for 4.5 years or 2.5 years if married to an American. It is best to request a tutor before the application for citizenship has been filed. This service is offered free of charge. Citizenship, Conversation and English Classes Fern Ridge, 4-6:30 p.m., M-W and 4-7 p.m. Th Manchester Methodist Church, 12:30-3:30 p.m., M-Th Hazelwood West High School, 6-9 p.m., M-W English, Citizenship, and Job Readiness MERS Goodwill, 12-3, Th-F. In addition, students who regularly attend our ESL classes may request a tutor to help prepare for the citizenship interview.
