Natalie Kuehn won Best in Show for her self-portrait. I believe this is the first best in show winner in the history of the school.

First, second and third place winners will receive cash prizes of $100, $50 and $25 respectively, with a matching award presented to the schools. The winners were selected based on their drawing's creativity, inclusion of work zone elements and understanding of a work zone. All the state winners are automatically submitted to the national contest.
South Middle Visual Arts Awards
Two 6th grade students came in 3rd place each for their category out of 3- 3rd place spots
The winners were:
Nick Jones ( 6th grade)3rd place - $2,000.
Morgan Klein (6th grade) : 3rd place - $2,000.
4 students received honorable mention out of a possible 16 for the state of Missouri
All drawings will tour all 50 states for the next year at waterfowl festivals, wildlife museums, and galleries.
