How lucky Ballwin Days was to have absolutely gorgeous weather for its June 26 parade. What a fabulous showing Parkway had with it's participation in the parade. There were 5 cars with 5 drivers. Cars included '54 white corvette, '57 salmon colored Chevy, '65 red Mercedes, '65 baby blue Plymouth, and '04 burgundy with gold flames (colors sound familiar?) Corvette Pacer car. Nine people rode in the cars including Grace Philips and Barb Underwood both of whom really played to the crowd. There were 17 people walking beside the cars and passing out "Parkway" pencils and pins. Bob Underwood walked in the parade and several times people in the crowd shouted out "there's Mr. Underwood!"...students from Mr. Underwood's Claymont days! The whole event was full of energy and enthusiasm and really just a whole lot of fun.
